AND THE NOMINEE IS ...

It's award season and we’re honored to announce we've been nominated for ... a 2018 Kindred Award!

The Kindred Awards celebrate independent Christian artists throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region and are held in South Jersey each year.

Voting is open to the public and available at http://www.sjchristianevents.com/kindred-awards. (We’re nominated in the category of ‘New Group’). If you’re only interested in voting for our category, you can also email your vote to myvoteforthekindredawards@gmail.com. Just include “The Bedouin Fires for ‘New Group’” in the body of the email — that’s it!

Voting is open through Sunday, January 14th, so cast your vote before then to help us bring home some hardware!

A FAREWELL

We're sad to announce that our co-vocalist and bassist, John Girvin, has decided to retire from The Bedouin Fires. John has been with the band since our earliest days, and we're grateful for all the contributions he's made over these last 10 years. While he may be retiring, John will always remain both a member emeritus of The Bedouin Fires and good friend. We wish him all the best in life and on stage.

John's last official performance with the band will be in 2 weeks on February 25th at Emmaus Road Cafe. Please stop by the cafe that night and help us send him off on a high note!

The festival will be held on Saturday, July 11, at 10 a.m. in Codorus State Park, home of the now-famous Hanover eagles, and will feature a lineup of 10 bands each performing 1 hour of music. The final band hitting the stage at 7 p.m. will be ... drum roll, please ... us!

THANK YOU

Fans,

Last weekend, we gave 2 very special performances. On Friday, we rocked out in support of Solanco High School's 2nd annual Mini-THON to help raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund. Then on Saturday night, we hosted our own special event, Live for Celebrate Recovery, to benefit Providence Church's Celebrate Recovery program. We hoped you'd show up, have a great time and give what you could to support these organizations and their missions.

Well, you showed up, and man, did you give.

Through your generous support, Mini-THON raised over $30,000 AND Live for Celebrate Recovery raised over $1,300 -- amazing! We can't say enough how much we appreciate your support of us and these organizations. So, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Much love (on Valentine's Day),

The Bedouin Fires
